The Divine Art Coalition was created by a group of community members with a passion to nurture and build a creative hub within Houston’s East End neighborhood through community centered events. Our community events enable us to create a platform for knowledge-sharing and skill-building that empowers individuals to contribute to the overall growth of our community.

By facilitating meaningful connections and providing resources, we inspire collaboration, resilience, and a shared sense of responsibility among community members and residents from different backgrounds. Our events leave a lasting positive impact on our neighborhood, fostering a stronger, more interconnected community that thrives on mutual support and collective progress.

The aim is to preserve the cultural legacy of the area while creating a space for artists to thrive and interact with both the public and each other. All while empowering individuals to collaboratively create spaces that support the overall growth of our community.

THIS IS A CELEBRATION OF THE NEIGHBORHOODS LEGACY OF BEING A RENOWNED AS AN ARTS AND CULTURE DISTRICT. BECAUSE OF OUR COMMUNITY, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO REACH A WIDE RANGE OF AUDIENCES. MAY OUR COMMUNITIES EXPAND AND CONTINUE TO STAND AS ONE.

COMMUNITY

ART

ART DISPLAYED AMONGST THE WALLS OF THE BUSINESSES ON EASTWOOD AND CANAL ST. SERVE AS A ROTATING PUBLIC OUTDOOR ART GALLERY. THIS PROVIDES ARTISTS WITH A SPACE TO CREATE AND INTERACT WITH OTHER ARTISTS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.

HERITAGE

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT WE AIM TO DO IS, PRESERVING THE HISTORICAL CULTURE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. BEING ONE OF THE ORIGINAL WARDS OF THE CITY OF HOUSTON, GENERATIONS OF PEOPLE STILL REMAIN. WE CONTINUE TO SHOWCASE THIS BARRIOS CULTURE THROUGH STAPLES SUCH AS CLASSIC CARS, ART, STYLE, FOOD, MUSIC AND SHARED TRADITIONS.
