FUTBOLITO EN EL BARRIO

Divine Art Coalition has always existed to create platforms for artists, culture, and community. This isn’t a shift away from that, it’s an evolution of it. As Houston builds toward the World Cup, we’re building something rooted in the streets; accessible, expressive, and owned by the people who show up.

We’re stepping into street soccer as a creative medium. Raw, concrete games played in locations that already carry art or invite artists to bring them to life in real time. This is pick-up style soccer at its core.

Divine Art Coalition presents…

FUTBOLITO STREET CUP

The “Futbolito Street Cup” is a high-energy, three-day cultural soccer experience that brings the streets to life! Blending fast-paced street fútbol, live art, and music, we want to create an unforgettable community celebration in the heart of Houston's Second Ward. It's more than a tournament; it's a vibrant collision of culture, creativity, and competition.

The Street Cup begins with pre-event activations leading into a tournament and Championship Block Party. These activations will blend Houston's vibrant street culture, murals, music, food, and neighborhood pride.

Houston is emerging as a global fútbol city ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with the East End & Second Ward being a hot destination for all soccer enthusiasts & travelers.

Founded in the Second Ward of Houston, Divine Art Coalition started in the streets. “Futbolito en el barrio” is by the people, for the people. It offers an authentic, neighborhood-driven alternative to traditional fan experiences

  • "This reminds me of when I was in Mexico when I was younger. We just had a ball and we had whatever sneakers we could find and we went outside and played soccer."

    - Narce Yanez

  • "It's one space where everyone is equal, and everyone can play, regardless of age, regardless of ability. I think that's the bigger story"

    - Juan Vega

  • "It's good to see everybody back in he neighborhood. From the cars, to graffiti, to the artwork, to the soccer; they're bringing community back."
